Installed below slopes to catch falling and rolling blocks.
Passive Slope Protection Net for Rockfall Interception Along Roads and Facilities
Passive slope protection net is installed away from the rock face to intercept falling stones and dissipate impact energy before debris reaches roads, buildings, or equipment. It is a catchment system rather than a surface reinforcement layer.
It is applied at slope toes, road shoulders, railway lines, hydropower sites, and mountain facilities. Post height, ring or rope net type, energy level, brake elements, and foundation layout are matched to the falling rock risk.

Product Advantages
- Rockfall interception: The barrier deforms under impact to capture falling rock and dissipate energy before debris reaches protected areas.
- Adaptable to complex terrain: Can be configured according to slope shape, geological conditions, and protection level.
- Strong system compatibility: Can work with anchors, support ropes, and connectors to form a complete protection system.
- Staged energy absorption: Interception units dissipate impact energy progressively through deformation.
- Adjustable standoff: Set-back distance and height can follow rockfall trajectory analysis.
Structure
Passive Slope Protection Net includes steel posts, base anchors, support ropes, interception nets, brake rings, or energy dissipaters. Installed at the slope toe or above protected areas, the system absorbs rockfall impact through deformation and energy dissipation while intercepting falling blocks.
Working Principle
Passive Slope Protection Net intercepts falling rocks along their movement path. When impact occurs, posts, support ropes, nets, and energy dissipaters deform in sequence and absorb energy, transferring forces to foundations and anchors so the rocks are retained within the protection zone.
